WHAT IS ON OFFER

Alfred H Knight has an exciting opportunity for a Deputy UK Facilities Manager to join our team here in Liverpool, UK.

The Deputy UK Facilities Manager is a key senior role within our UK-wide facilities management structure. You will be responsible for ensuring the operational continuity, compliance, and asset longevity of our national estate.

As a multi-skilled engineer by trade, you will blend your management experience with deep technical expertise, serving as the ultimate escalation point for complex engineering issues while mentoring a multi-disciplinary team. The role will directly oversee three core pillars: Planned Maintenance, Support Services, and Asset Management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and develop the Maintenance and Facilities Support Services teams, ensuring all statutory compliance activities and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks are completed across the UK estate within required timescales.
  • Ensure the effective management of the maintenance function, acting as the organisation's internal technical authority and subject matter expert for complex mechanical, electrical, and structural building issues.
  • Ensure the effective management of the support services, including cleaning, waste management, security, reception, and other site support functions as required.
  • Assist in the development and management of facilities budgets, including service contract budgets, maintenance expenditure, and support services costs, identifying opportunities for cost efficiencies and value improvement.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
