Deputy Venue Manager (Fixed Term Contract 12 months) - Holmewood Hall, Peterborough

At Country House Weddings, our exclusive-use venues and all-inclusive packages ensure every couple's wedding day is perfect from start to finish. From expert Chefs to experienced Wedding Managers, passionate Housekeepers, and dedicated Grounds Teams, we work together to provide exceptional service and unforgettable experiences.
What You'll Do
As Deputy Venue Manager, you'll support the Venue Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of Holmewood Hall, ensuring the highest standards of customer service, venue presentation, and operational excellence.
Leadership & Team Support
- Act as the main point of contact in the absence of the Venue Manager.
- Lead by example and support the training and development of venue staff.
- Help maintain a positive, motivated, and high-performing team culture.
Couple Engagement
- Support planning meetings, show rounds, and client communications.
- Build strong relationships with couples and ensure a seamless journey from booking through to their wedding day.
- Assist in delivering exceptional customer service at every stage.
Wedding Sales
- Work closely with the Sales Manager to maximise wedding bookings.
- Support conversion of enquiries and contribute to achieving venue sales targets.
- Take a proactive approach to showcasing the venue and its facilities.
Administrative Duties
- Generate and amend invoices accurately.
- Produce detailed running orders and event documentation.
- Support accommodation sales and ensure venue systems are maintained accurately.

Event Support
- Assist with Open Days, Wedding Showcases, and Dinner Date evenings.
- Identify opportunities for upselling and enhancing the guest experience.
- Support the smooth delivery of weddings and events from start to finish.
Brand Representation
- Act as a proud ambassador for Country House Weddings and Holmewood Hall.
- Ensure communication remains professional, consistent, and aligned with company standards.
- Assist with social media activity and marketing initiatives where required.
Health & Safety
- Maintain a safe environment for guests and colleagues.
- Administer First Aid when required.
- Ensure all relevant documentation, including accident and fire reports, is completed accurately and in a timely manner.

Experience & Commitment
- Minimum of 3 years' customer service experience
- Previous hospitality, events, hotel, wedding, or venue management experience desirable.
- Flexibility to meet the demands of a busy wedding and events operation, including weekends and bank holidays.
