If so, an opportunity has arisen for you to join our dynamic team. We are seeking a friendly, self-motivated, experienced, and dynamic individual to join our team providing clinical care within our Short Stay Paediatric Assessment Unit (SSPAU) at Northumbria Hospital. The SSPAU includes a Paediatric Emergency Department and a Short Stay Unit, providing care for children and young people across Northumberland and North Tyneside.
We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and expert clinical practitioner in the acute care of children, young people, and their families. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to work effectively as part of the multidisciplinary team.

The Children's Emergency Care Unit and 14-bedded short stay facility caters for children aged 0-16 years who require emergency assessment and treatment with a 24-hour inpatient facility if required.
We also provide support to medical staff in clinic and day case settings at North Tyneside General Hospital and Wansbeck General Hospital.
Successful candidates will be able to access preceptorship, clinical supervision, and a suite of training and development opportunities to equip them to work in an emergency care environment and further their careers.
We manage three major locality hospitals at North Tyneside, Wansbeck, and Hexham, plus a number of smaller community hospitals and clinics from Tynemouth to Berwick on Tweed, in addition to our state-of-the-art Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital, the first of its kind in England. We also care for people in their homes and provide services from facilities in local communities. We give people greater choice and control over their care to help them to live independently at home and avoid hospital admission where appropriate.
