Job Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Ward Manager on the Cardiac Day Case Unit at The Grange University Hospital to join our team.
Role Description
The role of the Band 6 is to support, contribute to, and assist the Senior Manager in the leadership and management of the unit team and to support the Senior Manager in the development, monitoring, and implementation of high-quality, evidence-based clinical care to ensure continuity of service provision and standards are maintained and improved.
The Band 6 Manager will act as a role model for staff on the ward, sharing knowledge and information and supporting colleagues and members of the multidisciplinary team.
Main Duties
- To assist with the management of the unit on a day-to-day basis by supporting and acting on behalf of the ward manager.
- To be aware of and demonstrate practice based on current advances in nursing.
- To work in conjunction with other disciplines in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- To promote evidence-based practice and act as an accountable role model and clinical expert.
