We are looking for a Derivatives & Collateral Onboarding Associate to join our Asset Management team in London.
This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of the end-to-end onboarding of derivative trading relationships across Standard Life entities. Acting as a key link between the Front Office and a wide range of internal and external partners, you will ensure that the operational, legal, regulatory, and system requirements for each relationship are completed accurately and efficiently.

You will work closely with colleagues across Derivatives Strategy, Legal, Risk, Compliance, Middle Office, and Back Office, as well as external counterparties, custodians, clearing brokers, and service providers.
What you will be doing
- Managing the end-to-end onboarding of new and existing derivative trading counterparties.
- Acting as a key point of contact for derivative and collateral onboarding requests, providing clear updates and resolving queries.
- Coordinating KYC and reverse-KYC activity, including documentation requests, screening, and due diligence queries.
- Building effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external counterparties.
- Managing and prioritising multiple onboarding requests to support timely delivery.
- Setting up and maintaining counterparty, agreement, and portfolio configurations within Aladdin.
- Overseeing counterparty setup across platforms including FXALL, Tradeweb, DTCC, and MarkitWire.
- Coordinating derivative legal documentation, including ISDA, CSA, GMRA, CDEA, IM CSD, and ACA agreements.
- Maintaining accurate derivative and collateral agreement data.
- Supporting requirements relating to variation margin, initial margin, and EMIR delegated reporting.
- Identifying issues at an early stage, applying sound judgment, and escalating risks appropriately.
What we are looking for
You will ideally have previous experience in derivatives or collateral onboarding within an asset management or closely related financial services environment.

You will also bring:
- An understanding of derivative products and associated legal documentation, including ISDA, CSA, GMRA, and CDEA agreements.
- Knowledge of variation margin and initial margin requirements.
- Experience of KYC, due diligence, and documentation processes.
- A working knowledge of the operational and regulatory requirements associated with derivatives.
- Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.
- The ability to maintain accurate and reliable data across multiple systems.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong stakeholder and relationship management capability.
- The confidence to take ownership of processes, tasks, and onboarding requests.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver effectively under pressure.
- A proactive, collaborative, and adaptable approach.
- Sound problem-solving skills, with the judgment to identify and escalate issues when required.
