Derivatives & Structured Finance Counsel

London | Hybrid Working | Salary: Dependant on Experience (c.£130,000+)

A leading international law firm is looking to appoint a Derivatives & Structured Finance Counsel to join its London practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance lawyer to work across sophisticated derivatives and structured finance matters, advising a broad range of clients on complex transactions and related documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advising financial institutions, corporates, investment funds and other clients on derivatives and structured finance transactions.
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating complex transaction documentation, including industry-standard derivatives documentation.
  • Advising on the structuring, execution and regulatory considerations of sophisticated financing arrangements.
  • Managing transactions from initial structuring through to completion, working closely with clients and other advisers.
  • Supporting the continued development of the firm's derivatives and structured finance practice.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • A qualified solicitor with strong experience in derivatives and/or structured finance.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of derivatives documentation and related financial products.
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills, with the ability to provide clear and commercially focused advice.
  • Comfortable advising sophisticated clients on complex and high-value transactions.
  • A collaborative lawyer with strong communication skills and a genuine interest in developing their practice.
