Consultant Dermatologist

The role encompasses medical, surgical, cosmetic, and paediatric dermatology, with opportunities to support service development and clinical excellence.

The Consultant Dermatologist will play a key role in managing complex dermatology cases, providing expert clinical guidance on escalated referrals, and working closely with specialist GPs, nursing teams, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standards of patient care. This position is ideally suited to a clinician who is committed to clinical excellence, patient safety, continuous improvement, and collaborative working.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, diagnose, manage, and treat complex dermatology patients across medical, surgical, and cosmetic.
  • Provide consultant-level clinical input for cases escalated by Dermatology Specialist GPs, nursing colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Develop appropriate management plans, treatment pathways, and onward referrals where required.
  • Support the delivery of efficient and effective dermatology services in line with established clinical governance standards.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive clinical records and documentation.
  • Collaborate closely with consultant colleagues, specialist GPs, nursing teams, administrative staff, and the wider multidisciplinary team.
  • Participate in clinical governance activities, audits, quality assurance initiatives, and service improvement projects.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of safe, effective, and patient-centred dermatology services.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
