Dermatology Outpatient Healthcare Assistant (HCA)

Days: Saturday & Sunday

Hours: 08:00 – 18:00

About The Role

We are currently seeking experienced Dermatology Outpatient Healthcare Assistants (HCAs) to support weekend insourcing clinics, helping deliver NHS waiting list initiatives across a range of dermatology services.

This is an excellent opportunity to join experienced teams delivering high-quality patient care within busy outpatient settings, supporting clinicians and patients throughout their clinic journey.

Requirements

To be considered, you must:

  • Have recent, hands-on experience supporting dermatology outpatient clinics
  • Have been actively undertaking this work for at least 6 months within the past 12 months

  • Experience working as a Healthcare Assistant within an NHS dermatology outpatient setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organisational skills and attention to detail
  • A patient-focused approach with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include supporting with:

  • Preparing and supporting outpatient clinics
  • Chaperoning patients during consultations and examinations
  • Recording patient observations where required
  • Assisting clinicians during patient consultations
  • Supporting patient flow throughout the clinic
  • Providing patients with information and guidance as directed by the clinical team
  • Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and records
  • Ensuring clinics run safely, efficiently, and in line with local policies and procedures
  • Maintaining high standards of patient care, dignity, and confidentiality
