Underwriter, Portfolio Partnerships

Department: Cyber

Employment Type: Permanent - Full Time

Location: UK - London

Reporting To: John Sinclair

Description

As we continue to grow our global cyber proposition, we’re creating a new Underwriter role within Portfolio Partnerships, to drive the next phase of our portfolio and reinsurance strategy.

Based in London and reporting to the Portfolio Partnerships Practice Leader, this individual plays a key part in building, developing and maintaining strong relationships with reinsurance industry and supporting the ongoing growth of our cyber portfolio.

About The Role

You’ll be responsible for existing partners over the long term, working with them to build their cyber portfolio. You will also work on identifying and developing new cyber reinsurance partnerships. Working closely your team, you’ll help shape and deliver CFC’s cyber reinsurance strategy, supporting reinsurance partners with underwriting insight, training, distribution and growth opportunities.

The role also involves contributing to partner-facing marketing and positioning, acting as a consistent point of contact for key strategic relationships, and representing CFC across the market.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
