Adamson Construction & Interiors
Adamson Construction & Interiors is an independently owned company based in Dukinfield. We design and build extensions, kitchens, bathrooms and full home renovations across the North West, handling everything from first design conversation to final handover. Our reputation is built on attentive service and honest design advice.
We're looking for a Sales and Design Consultant who sells through trust and good design, not pressure. You'll sit with homeowners, help them see what their property could become, and guide them through one of the biggest investments they'll ever make.
What you'll do
- Run the sales process end to end: first visit, design consultation, proposal, negotiation, close
- Build strong customer relationships and hand over cleanly to the project team, staying available and involved as the build progresses
- Work closely with our PreBuild and Installations teams, who produce the technical drawings and run the projects, so what's sold is what gets delivered
- Represent Adamsons at local events and networking opportunities
- Keep your pipeline up to date and report on your results
What we're looking for
- A proven sales record in residential construction or home improvement — kitchens, bathrooms, extensions or renovations
- Solid knowledge of materials, products and finishes
- Someone who builds relationships face to face. This isn't a job done behind a keyboard — customer visits happen in evenings and at weekends when it suits them
- Experience using a CRM. We're in the early stages of rolling out Go High Level, so you'll help shape how we use it
- Self-motivated and comfortable being managed on results
- Full UK driving licence and your own car

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What we offer
- Base salary £28,000–£30,000 depending on experience, plus uncapped commission on every project sold.
- Realistic first-year earnings are £65,000–£75,000, rising to £85,000–£100,000 for a consultant selling at strong margins. Our commission rate is highest on full-price work — sell on design and service rather than discount and you'll earn considerably more. Average project value is around £54,000, and our top performer has sold over £2.4m in a year.
- Leads provided. Our marketing generates your appointments, and a good share of work comes from returning customers. If you bring in your own business too, that's a bonus rather than an expectation
- Mileage paid at 55p per mile for your first 12 months, then a company car
- Mobile phone and PC/laptop
- 33 days annual leave (25 days plus bank holidays — 5 more than statutory)
- Company pension and on-site parking
- Training and development, and a direct line to the Managing Director — no layers of management between you and decisions
