DESIGN COORDINATOR

Location: Hayes, West London

A leading specialist construction contractor is looking to recruit a Design Coordinator to support the delivery of a major hyperscale data centre development in West London.

Working alongside the Design Manager and wider project team, you'll play a key role in coordinating design information throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring drawings, technical documentation and design deliverables are issued accurately, on time and in line with project requirements.

What you'll be doing

  • Coordinating the receipt, review and distribution of design information across the project team
  • Maintaining design registers, trackers and project documentation to ensure information is accurate and up to date
  • Supporting the administration of the Common Data Environment (CDE) and document control processes
  • Assisting with the coordination of consultants, subcontractors and internal project teams
  • Monitoring design deliverables against project programmes and escalating any delays or risks
  • Supporting design review meetings, recording actions and tracking progress through to completion
  • Assisting with technical submissions, design approvals and planning documentation
  • Liaising with designers and site teams to ensure design information is issued accurately and on schedule

What we're looking for

  • Experience within a construction, engineering or design environment
  • Understanding of the construction design process and design documentation
  • Experience coordinating project information and maintaining document control systems
  • Knowledge of Building Regulations and construction documentation
  • Degree, HNC or equivalent qualification in Construction, Engineering, Design or a related discipline (or relevant industry experience)
  • Experience using a Common Data Environment (CDE) or project management software would be advantageous
