Job Description
The jobholder is responsible to produce accurate surveys and design drawings of plant and equipment within our Ardagh Glass Packaging Europe (AGP-E) division.
Responsibilities
- Produce accurate design drawings using CAD (Computer Aided Design) software when requested by the senior designer and/or Project Engineer.
- Carry out on-site surveys and 3D scans as required at any of the Ardagh Group glass manufacturing facilities.
- Provide project supporting services to the project engineers at any of the Ardagh Group glass manufacturing facilities.
- Identify and put forward any improvements that can be made to a design in order to achieve the most suitable design for the given objective.
- Produce associated documents to support the design drawings using software such as Word, and Excel.
- Maintain an effective communication between colleagues in order to maintain an effective team.
Requirements
- Experience of CAD (Computer Aided Design) software.
- A good understanding of the glass manufacturing process and ergonomics.
- Experience in Office 365 (Word, Excel).
- The ability to understand technical drawings.
- Able to travel as the business requires.
- Able to operate survey equipment such as laser levelling, 3D scanner and measuring devices (desirable but not essential as training will be provided).
