- Rate: £250–280 per day

What You Would Do
Typical responsibilities could include:
- Contributing to the design and development of mechanical, electrical or control systems from initial concept through to production
- Supporting the creation of design documentation, drawings, specifications and technical reports to ISO 9001 standards
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality assurance and project management to ensure designs are manufacturable and meet requirements
- Participating in design reviews, tolerance analysis and failure mode assessment
- Supporting prototype development and testing activities
- Liaising with suppliers and external partners on component specifications and technical queries
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and design process refinement

What You Could Bring
Most roles of this type require the following:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant Engineering discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Controls or equivalent)
- Proficiency in CAD software (such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD or equivalent)
- Working knowledge of design principles, tolerance analysis and GD&T
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management standards
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams
- Attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving
- Authorization to work in the United Kingdom
Nice-to-have experience could include:
- Experience in regulated industries or ISO 13485 (medical device) environments
- Knowledge of FEA (Finite Element Analysis) or simulation tools
- Experience with design failure analysis or FMEA
- Project management or Agile experience
- Additional certifications in quality or design engineering
