Electrical Design Engineer – Coventry
We’re recruiting an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join a highly skilled engineering team delivering technically challenging control and automation projects across the UK.

Role Overview
As an Electrical Design Engineer, you’ll be responsible for developing high-quality, commercially effective control system designs that meet client requirements and relevant industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Designing MCCs, switchgear, control panels, and LV distribution systems
- Producing electrical schematics, specifications, GA drawings, and BOMs
- Leading FATs and supporting commissioning and SAT activities
- Working alongside Software Engineers to produce accurate FDS documentation
- Supporting technical reviews and providing engineering input to Sales
- Identifying emerging technologies and improving internal processes
- Supporting colleagues across the wider Engineering team

Ideal Candidate
The successful Electrical Design Engineer will ideally have experience in:
- Hardware electrical design within a Systems Integration environment
- MCCs incorporating DOL, ASD, Soft Start, and VSD applications
- Switchgear, control panels, or LV distribution
- AutoCAD Electrical
- BS EN 61439 and BS EN 60204
- 18th Edition BS 7671
- Equipment specification, installation, and commissioning
