Hays Engineering is proud to be working in partnership with a highly successful and innovative engineering manufacturer based in County Tyrone to recruit a Design Engineer.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established design team responsible for developing market-leading products supplied to customers across the globe. You'll play a key role in creating innovative engineering solutions, supporting new product development, and driving continuous product improvement.
The Role
Key responsibilities include:
- Producing detailed 3D CAD models and engineering drawings.
- Developing innovative design solutions that meet customer and business requirements.
- Supporting new product development projects.
- Conducting design calculations and technical evaluations.
- Working closely with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are practical and cost-effective.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams including production, procurement, and quality.
- Assisting with product testing, validation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintaining accurate engineering documentation and BOMs.

What You'll Need
- Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience in a mechanical design or product development environment.
- Proficiency with 3D CAD software.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and design for manufacture principles.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
