We are recruiting for a Product Development & Design Engineer to join a growing engineering team in Lancaster, Lancashire.
This is an exciting opportunity for an engineer with experience in product development, design engineering, and project management to take ownership of projects from concept through to production.
The successful candidate will be involved in the full product lifecycle, including feasibility studies, quotation support, detailed design, prototyping, validation, industrialisation, and production release. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop innovative, high-quality products that meet customer, regulatory, and manufacturing requirements.

Key responsibilities include:
- Managing product development projects from initial concept to delivery
- Producing detailed 3D CAD designs and manufacturing specifications
- Conducting risk analysis, FMEA, verification, and validation activities
- Supporting Design for Manufacture and continuous product improvement
- Collaborating with Sales, Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering teams
- Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification

We are looking for candidates with:
- A degree or HND/HNC in Product Design, Industrial Design, Design Engineering, or similar
- Minimum 2 years’ engineering/product development experience
- Strong 3D CAD skills (SolidWorks preferred)
- Knowledge of Design for Manufacture, FMEA, and validation processes
- Experience with injection moulded products is advantageous
- Excellent communication and project management skills
