Design Engineer- NX / BMIDE

Manchester (Hybrid)
£55,000 - £75,000

The Opportunity

Aerospace and defence organisations are investing heavily in PLM and CAD technologies to accelerate engineering delivery, improve productivity, and maintain compliance in highly regulated environments. Realising these benefits requires effective configuration and adoption that supports day-to-day engineering activities.

As a PLM Configurator, you will configure Teamcenter and/or NX solutions based on approved technical designs, including workflows, data models, access controls, templates, and system settings. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will ensure solutions are robust, maintainable, and aligned to engineering processes, supporting testing, deployment, and controlled configuration changes across environments.

What you will do

  • Configure Siemens Teamcenter and/or Siemens NX in line with approved technical designs, functional requirements, and delivery standards.
  • Translate configuration specifications, design documents, and configuration workbooks into working PLM/CAD system behaviours.
  • Configure Teamcenter objects, item types, attributes, relationships, naming rules, revision rules, workflows, access controls, preferences, and classifications as required.
  • Support Teamcenter BMIDE configuration activities, including data model updates, business objects, properties, rules, and deployment packages where relevant.
  • Configure Active Workspace behaviours, stylesheets, tiles, commands, preferences, and user-facing elements where required.
  • Support NX configuration activities, including templates, managed mode settings, CAD data structures, attributes, user preferences, and integration with Teamcenter.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
