Role Overview

As part of Bouygues Construction's Public Works division, VSL International participates in the construction of major technical structures and guarantees their structural safety and durability: transport infrastructure (bridges, tunnels), industrial and energy production structures, and commercial buildings.

VSL's Business Is Based On Four Areas Of Expertise

  • Structural systems and technologies
  • Civil engineering
  • Foundations and soil engineering

Project

The Lower Thames Crossing is one of the UK’s most significant infrastructure programmes, linking Kent and Essex via the longest road tunnel in the country.

Delivered within a collaborative alliance environment, the project involves complex enabling works, geotechnical operations, deep foundations, soil mixing and large-scale civil engineering activities essential to the successful delivery of the scheme.

This technically demanding infrastructure programme combines major construction logistics, temporary works, heavy plant operations and high-risk construction activities within a live project environment.

Role Overview

We are seeking an organised and proactive Site Administrator to support the day-to-day administration and smooth operation of site activities on the Lower Thames Crossing project.

Working closely with the Project Manager, Site Managers, Engineers, subcontractors and wider project team, you will provide effective administrative support, maintain accurate records and ensure that key project information is managed and communicated efficiently.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-profile infrastructure project and contribute to one of the UK’s largest and most technically complex civil engineering programmes.

  • Maintain accurate records of site activities, personnel, deliveries and project information.
  • Support the preparation of reports, trackers, meeting minutes and project updates.
  • Organise meetings, prepare agendas and record actions.
  • Coordinate site communications and distribute relevant information to project teams.
  • Assist with the onboarding and induction of new employees, visitors and subcontractors.
  • Maintain site registers, contact lists and records of key project personnel.
  • Support the booking and coordination of site facilities, welfare, accommodation, travel and meeting rooms where required.

  • Maintain and update electronic and hard-copy filing systems.
  • Manage the distribution, filing and retrieval of project documentation.
  • Support the document control process for drawings, reports, inspections, permits and project records.
  • Ensure documents are correctly named, stored and issued to the relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate records of revisions and approvals.
  • Assist with the compilation of handover and close-out documentation.
  • Ensure project records are complete, accurate and readily accessible.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
