Design Engineer (Progression to Compliance Engineer)

£65,000 - £68,000 + Company Bonus + Training + Progression + Car Allowance + 33 Days Holiday + Private Medical Healthcare + International Travel

Location: Macclesfield

Are you a Design Engineer who has a background in bringing machinery to market looking to become a technical expert within a highly regarded industry leading consultancy that helps SMEs and machine builders ensure their products are compliant?

Do you want an autonomous and specialized position, where you will hone in on a technical niche, receiving personalized training to enable your status as a certified Compliance Engineer?

In this role you will be working alongside the Design team, carrying out inspections and assessments on a diverse range of machinery. You will be responsible for reviewing documentation and designs, advising clients and suggesting amendments for adherence to industry regulations, standards, and legislation. This role involves ample opportunity for travel including to the US, Japan, Europe, and across the UK.

Established over 30 years ago, this company is globally recognized and a UK Approved Body for machinery compliance and certification services. Due to growth and ongoing successes, they are looking for a specialist engineer to join their expert team and assist in providing premium services.

This role would suit a Design Engineer with a background of bringing machinery to market, looking to progress their career and become a technical expert in compliance, within a well-established company providing a generous remuneration package, ongoing training, and travel opportunities.

The Role:

  • Carry out machinery inspections and risk assessments
  • Advise clients on regulatory compliance
  • Review and produce legal documentation
  • 40 hours a week, flexible shift pattern
