About the Role
We are growing and have more opportunities for design engineers to join our team in Bradley Stoke, Bristol. The company is going through a sustained period of growth and as a result of this we are looking for additional staff to join us as soon as possible to carry out the following:
- Translate customer requirements for staircases, handrails, barriers, balustrades, ladders, and walkways into practical, manufacturable design solutions using modular systems
- Produce 3D models, detailed manufacturing drawings, and installation layouts
- Design and develop structurally sound solutions based on modular design systems
- Support projects from initial concept through to manufacturing and delivery
- Generate clear installation instructions and technical documentation
Main Responsibilities and Activities
- Create high-quality 2D and 3D CAD models and engineering drawings aligned with project timelines
- Apply engineering judgement and problem-solving skills to generate efficient and buildable layouts
- Integrate structural considerations into all designs, ensuring durability and compliance with relevant standards
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Operations, and Project Teams to ensure design accuracy and feasibility
- Manage drawing workflows and priorities to meet deadlines
- Ensure all technical documentation is accurate, controlled, and up to date
- Liaise with suppliers regarding technical specifications, materials, and manufacturing processes
- Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) across design systems
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including automation and optimisation of design processes
- Participation in departmental continual improvement projects

Key Attributes
- Strong self-motivation and proactive mindset, with the ability to manage your own workload
- Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor 3D modelling, ideally including complex assemblies and Frame Generator
- Experience in Autodesk Inventor 2D detailed drawing
- Experience producing and interpreting a wide range of technical drawings and specifications
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and materials
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and with clients
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
