Shape the future of design standards for mission-critical infrastructure

We are looking for an experienced EMEA Design & Engineering Standards Lead to own and evolve regional Design, Engineering and Construction standards across our new-build data center developments in EMEA. This is a senior individual contributor role within the Design, Engineering & Construction function, working closely with regional and global design and engineering teams to assist in technical consistency, change management, quality, and continuous improvement across the portfolio.

You will act as a subject matter expert for design standards, providing technical guidance, reviewing design deliverables, and helping ensure that projects are delivered in line with global standards, customer expectations, safety requirements, and commercial objectives as well as driving EMEA standards updates and improvements.

Candidates should have a good multi-disciplinary technical knowledge, considerable experience within the data centre market and an ability to scope and manage external engineering team. Candidates should be good communicators with experience of driving options alignment around sometimes complex technical issues.

Your Role

As Regional Design & Engineering Standards Lead (m/f/d), you will play a key role in driving design quality, consistency, and technical excellence across the region:

  • Own, manage, and continuously update the Regional Design Engineering Guidelines in close collaboration with global and regional design teams
  • Review and QA/QC design deliverables across regional projects to ensure compliance with design standards, engineering guidelines, and business requirements
  • Act as a subject matter expert for design reviews, providing technical guidance and responding to design escalations from project teams
  • Attend design page turn meetings, identify inconsistencies or missing information, and support the close-out of design actions
  • Chair regional design knowledge-share sessions and technical discussions to drive alignment and best practice across teams
  • Support the tracking and approval of design deviations against baseline standards and provide feedback into the global design standards change process
  • Engage with consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to improve design management and delivery across CSA and MEPH disciplines
  • Represent the business in design-related forums, supplier discussions, and technical conversations with external partners

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
