We're currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity with a leading global technology and connectivity organisation, supporting some of the world's most complex data centre and critical infrastructure projects.

They're looking for a Design & Estimation Consultant to join their growing team and play a key role across technical design, estimation and pre-sales for structured cabling and connectivity infrastructure.

The role

You'll work closely with Sales, Commercial and Operations teams, supporting projects from initial client engagement and solution development through to delivery.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Producing technical designs, quotations and detailed cost estimates
  • Interpreting surveys and client requirements
  • Producing GA plans, cabinet/frame layouts, cable density drawings and schematics
  • Supporting tenders and client presentations
  • Coordinating drawings through to construction stage
  • Working with clients, main contractors, consultants and internal teams
  • Providing costs for variations and additional works
  • Supporting commercial performance and project profitability

We're keen to speak with candidates who have experience in:

  • Structured cabling / telecommunications / ICT infrastructure
  • Data centre or critical infrastructure environments
  • Technical design and estimation
  • Tender submissions and cost modelling
  • Pre-sales and solution development
  • Working with clients, contractors and consultants
  • Commercial and contractual awareness

Industry qualifications such as RCDD, CNIDP, CDCP or manufacturer-accredited training would be advantageous, but aren't essential.
