Riteweld Engineering - Design Manager
Riteweld Engineering is a structural steel and architectural metalwork fabricator based in Banbury, and we're creating a brand-new role to strengthen how we manage the design stage of every project we win.
As our new Design Manager, you'll be the link between our clients, their architects and structural engineers, and our in-house Drawing Office — making sure every job arrives ready to be detailed, without gaps, ambiguity or last-minute surprises.
This is a genuinely new role, created as Riteweld continues to grow. You'll have real scope to shape how it works from day one, working closely with our Operations and Drawing Office teams — a great opportunity for someone who wants genuine ownership of a role, not one that's already fully defined.

What You'll Be Doing
- Chasing down and coordinating design information from clients and structural engineers
- Representing Riteweld in design coordination meetings
- Spotting and resolving discrepancies before they become production problems
- Managing design changes and their impact on cost and programme
- Handing over a clean, ready-to-detail design package to our Drawing Office and Subcontact teams.

What We're Looking For
- Experience in structural steel, architectural metalwork, or construction/fabrication
- Confidence reading structural drawings and talking to engineers and architects
- Excellent organisation and communication skills
- Comfortable building a new process, not just following one
