The successful candidate will have genuine ownership of their projects from beginning to end — From receiving the customer brief from the sales team, through design and CAD, manufacture and build, right through to final customer handover.

At any one time, you could be responsible for up to six projects, ranging from smaller jobs through to larger and more complex builds.

The Role

  • Produce drawings using a CAD system, preferably SolidWorks.
  • Design bespoke coachbuilding and specialist vehicle projects.
  • Provide quotes for coachbuilding items as required.
  • Ensure designs comply with current regulations and approval requirements.
  • Take ownership of projects from initial customer brief through to completion and handover.

Project Management

    • On time and within agreed hours.
    • Within budget.
    • To the agreed specification.
  • Manage projects from design through to manufacture and final customer handover.

  • Agree specifications, design changes and additional requirements with customers.
  • Ensure customers are aware of any additional costs outside the original specification.
  • Liaise regularly with the Managing Director and Operations Director regarding project progress and labour requirements.
  • Work closely with workshop supervisors and staff, providing guidance on specifications and design changes.
  • Ensure required materials and labour are available.
  • Review project progress against the Gantt chart and highlight any issues as soon as possible.
  • Provide project hours to assist with workshop planning.
  • Keep project files up to date, including specifications, design changes, meeting notes and relevant correspondence.
  • Request specialist support where required, including machining, engineering, quality, Type Approval, IVA and electrical.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
