Role: Design Manager & Senior Design Manager
Location: London
Overview
We are working with a leading fit out contractor in London who is looking to recruit experienced Design Managers and Senior Design Managers to join their growing team, delivering high-quality CAT A and CAT B commercial workplace projects.
These are excellent opportunities for design professionals with a strong background in main contracting or fit out contracting, who can manage the design process from tender and pre-construction through to project delivery.
The Role
You will be responsible for managing and coordinating the design process, working closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal project teams to ensure projects are delivered to the required quality, programme, and budget.

Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing design across CAT A and CAT B commercial office fit out projects.
- Leading and coordinating multidisciplinary design teams and external consultants.
- Supporting tender submissions, design reviews, and pre-construction activities.
- Identifying design risks, buildability issues, and opportunities for value engineering.
- Managing design programmes, technical coordination, and design changes.
- Working closely with commercial and operational teams to ensure design solutions are practical, cost-effective, and deliverable.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Design Manager or Senior Design Manager within a main contracting or fit out contracting environment.
- Strong experience delivering CAT A and CAT B commercial workplace projects.
- Previous tendering and pre-construction experience is essential.
- Excellent knowledge of design coordination, buildability, and the commercial fit out process.
- Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
