Job Title: Design Manager
Location: Hybrid / Almost Remote
Salary: c£120k + 25% Bonus & Comprehensive Package
The Company:
I am partnering with a market-leading, data centre provider. They act as a trusted strategic partner to hyperscalers, and global enterprises. As they rapidly expand their high-density, highly resilient facilities, they are seeking a driven Design Manager to join their team.
The Role:
You will manage and coordinate professional teams of external consultants and engineers to design industry-leading data centre facilities. Your core focus will be ensuring a high standard of design documentation across all RIBA stages.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day technical oversight of the design and approval process for new data centre facilities, expansions, and technology refreshes.
- Be actively involved in the appointment of architects, designers, engineers, and specialists.
- Arrange review workshops and presentations at each RIBA stage, checking documentation for technical accuracy alongside other internal teams.
- Present innovative designs and emerging data centre technologies to major stakeholders and the senior leadership team.
About You:
- Data Centre Experience (Must-Have): Prior design, commissioning, or project engineering experience within the Data Centre or mission-critical sector is essential.
- MEP Background: You will have a strong general engineering and technical capability, ideally bringing a working knowledge of generators, UPS, switchgear, cooling, and fire detection/suppression systems.
- Clearance: You must have a full UK driving licence and the ability to undergo and pass full security checks.
