Design Manager – Ads, Web & Marketing

Role Overview

We’re looking for a commercially minded Design Manager to lead our design team and deliver high-quality creative across Ads, Web and Marketing. This is a hands-on leadership role, combining team management, project planning and contributing to the creative output of the team. You’ll support the Senior Designer, help develop the Junior Designer and work closely with Marketing, E-commerce, Product and the wider business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, support and develop the design team.
  • Manage workloads, priorities, deadlines and project delivery.
  • Support the Senior Designer and guide their leadership development.
  • Review and improve creative quality while maintaining brand consistency.
  • Stay hands-on with design work.
  • Build stronger collaboration between Design and the wider business.
  • Turn business objectives and briefs into effective creative.
  • Present ideas, challenge constructively and respond to feedback.
  • Use performance data and customer insight to improve creative.
  • Balance creative ambition with commercial priorities and deadlines.
  • Stay up to date with emerging AI tools and creative technologies, exploring how they can support more efficient workflows, creative exploration and high-quality design output.

Key Qualities & Experience

  • Strong graphic, digital, marketing and brand design skills.
  • Excellent Adobe Creative Suite knowledge, particularly Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Experience leading, mentoring or managing designers.
  • Commercially minded with an understanding of performance-driven creative.
  • Strong communication, presentation and collaboration skills.
  • Organised, proactive and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
  • High attention to detail and a strong creative eye.
  • Positive, approachable and confident giving and receiving feedback.
  • Passionate about remaining a hands-on designer.
