Design Manager - Facade Remediation

We are looking for an experienced Design Manager to take a lead role across façade remediation, re-cladding and external wall projects.

This is a technical design-management role, not a purely drawing-based position. The focus is on coordinating design information, resolving technical issues, supporting regulatory submissions and making sure surveys, dimensions and design details are properly controlled before procurement and delivery.

⚠️ Direct Building Safety Regulator experience is essential.

The Role

You will coordinate façade remediation design and regulatory information across multiple projects, working with internal teams, external designers, consultants and site teams to keep design programmes moving and ensure technical issues are properly resolved.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate design information across façade remediation and re-cladding projects
• Support BSR Gateway submissions and responses to regulator RFIs
• Review external wall designs, drawings and technical information
• Identify compliance, fire safety and Building Regulations issues
• Coordinate internal designers, façade specialists and external consultants
• Manage design comments, dependencies, information releases and programme requirements
• Attend sites where surveys or dimensional checks are required
• Help resolve incomplete as-built information before materials are ordered
• Work across multiple projects while keeping design activity aligned with procurement and delivery
