Design Manager Opportunity
We are currently seeking an experienced Design Manager to join a major data centre project on a short-term contract for approximately 2–3 months.

The successful candidate will:
- Take a lead role in coordinating the design process, ensuring all design information is delivered accurately, efficiently, and in line with the project programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate the design process across multiple disciplines.
- Liaise with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and the client team.
- Review and coordinate drawings, specifications, and technical information.
- Identify and resolve design issues and clashes.
- Monitor design deliverables against the project programme.
- Manage RFIs, technical queries, design changes, and approvals.
- Ensure design complies with project requirements, relevant standards, and regulations.
- Attend design coordination and project meetings.
- Support the construction team with technical and design-related queries.

Requirements
- Proven experience as a Design Manager on major construction projects.
- Previous data centre experience is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of MEP and multidisciplinary design coordination.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work to tight programmes and deadlines.
- Strong technical and organisational skills.
- Relevant construction/design qualification or equivalent experience.

Contract Details
- Duration: 2–3 months
- Start: Immediate / ASAP
- Project: Data Centre
- Rate: £425/day CIS
- Location: Newport
- Employment: Contract
