Overview
Vision Built, a Sisk Company, is a leading offsite construction company delivering high-quality modular and panelised building solutions. Our team combines innovation with practical construction expertise to deliver projects safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.
We are now recruiting an experienced Design Manager who will efficiently manage design teams/departments in a modular/MMC environment.
Responsibilities
- Attending, hosting or coordinating department meetings.
- Ensuring that the design work is of sufficient quality and that all directives are being followed.
- Collaborating with your own team and with other departments to achieve design goals.
- Working to meet the expectations of the client.
- Delegating work where necessary and reviewing that work when it has been completed.
- Creating innovative ideas and designs and putting them into a context that the rest of the team and the client/customer can understand.
- Developing a budget and analysing that budget regularly to ensure it remains tenable.
- Mentoring and guiding team members and motivating them to achieve their goals and yours.
- Conducting team training on developments within the design work or new business guidelines.
- Motivate, encourage and support internal and external design teams.
- Aim for timely, high-quality and understandable production of structural drawings and designs.
- Assist in creating the design delivery schedule with the client, project manager, design managers and consultants.

Experience
- 7+ years’ experience in Tier 1 contracting, Tier 2 contracting, modular contracting or design consultancy companies
- Proficient in Revit/AutoCAD software
- Proficient use in MS Office
Qualifications
- NFQ Level 7 (third level) in Architectural Technology qualification
- Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
- Creative mind and attention to detail
- Good organisational skills
- Time management and multi-tasking skills
