Design Manager Oxfordshire

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Design Manager to join a successful, family-run Design & Build, Construction and Fit-Out contractor delivering technically challenging projects across Oxfordshire and the surrounding counties.

The business has built an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality refurbishment and fit-out projects, with a particularly strong presence across the science, laboratory and commercial workplace sectors.

Projects range from specialist laboratory and research environments through to high-specification office fit-outs and technically demanding commercial refurbishments, with values ranging from smaller works through to approximately £15 million.

With a strong pipeline of work, the business is looking to appoint a Design Manager who can take ownership of the design process and work closely with clients, consultants and delivery teams from pre-construction through to completion.

This would particularly suit someone with experience delivering technically complex fit-out projects where M&E services, specialist installations and coordination between multiple design disciplines are critical.

Design Manager The Role

As Design Manager, you will manage and coordinate the design process across projects, ensuring information is technically compliant, buildable and issued in accordance with the programme.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
