EU Continuous Improvement Program (CIP) Manager

The EU Continuous Improvement Program (CIP) Manager owns the delivery of AMZL design improvement initiatives within Amazon's Global Building Design and Engineering (GBDE) team. The role leads the Design Change Request and Design Change Implementation (DCR-DCI) pipeline end-to-end, manages cross-functional workstreams, and drives improvements from idea to adopted standard with rigor and pace. Working across regional and global frameworks, the role supports cross-regional programs to ensure EU standards are globally informed and transferable. The ideal candidate combines technical grounding in the built environment with strong program management skills, benchmarks EU performance against Amazon's fastest-moving regions, and operates effectively in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Own the EU AMZL Continuous Improvement Program (CIP) end-to-end, managing the Design Change Request and Design Change Implementation (DCR-DCI) pipeline from idea to adopted standard
  • Lead design change and standards-governance processes across multiple stakeholders, including documentation, review, and approval workflows
  • Drive value-engineering and cost-reduction initiatives using structured benchmarking methodologies to challenge existing standards and define improvements
  • Benchmark EU design standards against Amazon's fastest-moving regions to identify best practices and raise the quality of EU standards
  • Coordinate cross-functional workstreams across the EU AMZL network, ensuring programs are delivered with precision and pace
  • Support cross-regional programs and initiatives, bringing EU perspective to global conversations and translating global best practice back to EU operations
  • Produce clear, data-driven program documentation and communicate findings and recommendations effectively to senior stakeholders
  • Travel across the EU up to 40% of the time to support site engagement, stakeholder alignment, and program delivery

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

A Day in the Life

Indicative - You start the day reviewing the DCR-DCI pipeline — tracking active design change requests, unblocking stalled approvals, and aligning stakeholders on next steps. Mid-morning, you join a cross-regional call to share EU benchmarking findings and pressure-test a proposed standard update. After lunch, you review value-engineering analysis submitted by an external design team, sharpen the data, and prepare a recommendation for sign-off. You close the day updating program documentation and flagging two improvement opportunities identified during a recent site visit. No two days are identical — but every day moves a standard forward.
