This is an opportunity for a curious, analytical and creative researcher who enjoys tackling complex questions and wants to see their work directly influence real-world architecture and design projects.
Job Description
- Plan and deliver design research across architecture, interiors and wider built-environment projects

- Analyse and synthesise complex research findings into clear insights and actionable design recommendations
- Translate research into design strategies, planning decisions, prototypes, proof-of-concepts and client deliverables
- Facilitate visioning workshops, stakeholder engagement sessions, research activities and user testing
- Identify emerging technologies, behavioural trends, industry challenges and future opportunities that could influence the built environment
- Develop new research approaches, tools and frameworks that support evidence-based and human-centred design
- Contribute to publications, conference presentations and wider thought leadership initiatives

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
