Design Technician

Are you a recent university graduate with a passion for design, space planning and turning ideas into clear technical drawings using AutoCAD? Or are you looking for a career change where you can use your technical drawing skills?

We’re looking for a Design Technician to join our Design team and play a key role in bringing customer projects to life.

As a Design Technician, you’ll create 2D and 3D designs for steel storage partitioning systems, helping our customers optimise their space and supporting our Sales and Operations teams with accurate, high‑quality technical drawings.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Producing 2D construction drawings from surveys and building plans (AutoCAD)
  • Creating 3D visualisations of projects and spaces (AutoCAD, Revit, 3ds Max)
  • Redesigning existing facilities to improve functionality and appearance
  • Carrying out on‑site surveys where required
  • Preparing accurate material take‑offs for quotations
  • Collaborating closely with Sales Managers, Project Managers, Operations teams, and customers

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
