Design Technician - Antrim
Mivan is a dynamic and progressive specialist joinery and interior fit-out contractor with a reputation for excellence and innovation. We are currently recruiting for a Design Technician to join our design teams across multiple projects.
The successful candidate will play a key role in bringing concepts to life by producing precise, detailed construction drawings for bespoke joinery, furniture, and architectural features used in high-end building and fit-out projects.
Main duties will include:
- Assist in the assessment of initial information received from the Client’s designers and architects.
- Liaise with Factory, Project Manager and Client’s designers and architects, sub-contractors and suppliers.
- Carry-out site surveys.
- Produce clear, concise, accurate drawings in accordance to deadline/programme as required and to QA standards.
- Collaborate with schedulers to discuss drawings and assist production with any queries.
- Collaborate with the Drawing Controller regarding the issue and distribution of drawings.

The successful candidate will possess the following:
- Experienced in technical detailing with proven 2D drawing ability.
- Proficient in AutoCAD.
- A working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
- Ability to work under pressure and deal with heavy work loads.
- Excellent organisation skills.
- Ability to think in 3 dimensions.
- Ability to think rationally and resolve design problems.
- An aptitude to learn quickly.
