Nottingham
Full Time

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Design Technician with a strong background in engineering design to join our dynamic team. You will play a pivotal role in transforming client briefs and concept designs into technically robust and manufacturable signage solutions. This is a hands-on role that bridges design intent with engineering execution, ensuring structural integrity, compliance, and ease of installation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret design briefs, sketches, and architectural plans to develop engineering-focused solutions.
  • Collaborate with project managers, sales, production, and installation teams to ensure design feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and compliance.
  • Use CAD software to generate 2D and 3D drawings.
  • Apply structural design principles to ensure signage meets wind load, material strength, and mounting requirements.
  • Integrate lighting, wiring, and other technical components into signage design where applicable.
  • Produce comprehensive documentation including bill of materials (BOM), fabrication drawings, assembly instructions, and risk assessments.
  • Review and revise designs based on feedback from clients, engineers, and fabrication teams.
  • Ensure all designs comply with relevant health & safety, accessibility, and building regulations.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
