Job Summary
The Design, Technology & Art Teacher will deliver engaging and creative lessons that develop students’ skills in art, design, technology, creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinking. The teacher will provide a practical and inspiring learning environment that encourages students to explore ideas, develop projects, and apply both creative and technical skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality Design, Technology & Art lessons in line with the school curriculum.
- Encourage creativity, innovation, critical thinking, and independent learning.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, practical activities, and project-based assignments.
- Teach a range of art techniques, design principles, materials, tools, and technology applications.
- Guide students through the design process, from research and concept development to prototyping and final projects.
- Introduce students to relevant digital design tools and software.
- Assess and monitor student progress through assignments, practical projects, portfolios, and examinations.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and student progress.
- Create a safe, organized, and inspiring classroom/workshop environment.
- Support students in developing creative portfolios and design projects.
- Organize exhibitions, displays, and student showcases when required.
- Ensure the safe and proper use and maintenance of tools, equipment, and materials.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school activities.
- Communicate effectively with parents and school leadership regarding student progress.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Design, Technology, Art, Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Product Design, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in Design, Technology, Art, or a related subject.
- Strong practical and creative skills with the ability to integrate art, design, and technology into classroom learning.
- Proficiency in relevant digital design tools/software is an advantage.
