As Design to Print Technologist you will have an integral part in Twinings lean, performance focused and innovative New Product Development team.

Responsible for delivery of our Royal Warrant update project, you will be someone who strives for excellence in delivery, is avid about quality and with meticulous attention to detail.

You will need to work across and manage a number of internal stakeholders, within our markets, our Tea Supply Chain colleagues and with our New Product Development team.

With an understanding of the need to balance the market wants against the commercial needs of the business you deliver brilliant customer service for the markets but will challenge where needed to get to the best solution for the business.

Please note: This role is fixed term for 6 months

Key Responsibilities

  • You will be willing to flex to meet the needs of markets, agencies, suppliers and supply centres within the different time zones in which we operate.
  • Lead Twinings multi-market packaging project to implement the Royal Warrant change. Deliver the artwork process from confirmed requirement to full packaging roll out ensuring that artwork requirements are fully evaluated and delivered.
  • Manage costing and origination budget for the project to ensure financial viability and transparency.
  • Manage and coordinate all communications on artwork critical paths, actions and timelines, follow up approvals and escalate, where necessary.
  • Identify risks to Design to Print delivery and work with stakeholders to mitigate these risks.
  • Lead all relevant packaging and artwork related meetings from design finalisation through to acceptance of files. This includes external pre-production meetings to ensure alignment is gained across all involved parties.
  • Create technical repro briefs for the designated Design to Print project.
  • Conduct technical review, assessment and approval of all repro files and ensure all actions associated with repro are completed in a timely manner to achieve print quality to the agreed standards.
  • Ensure all technical queries relating to packaging are addressed in a timely fashion to enable effective delivery of projects.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Comprehensive knowledge of artwork design and repro process including DAM and web based artwork management systems
  • Project management experience with a proven history of consistently delivering printed packaging solutions
  • Computer literate in Microsoft packages
  • Experience within FMCG Packaging development would be advantageous
  • Highly skilled in maintaining attention to detail, throughout the life of a project.
  • High motivation levels to succeed at repetitive tasks with the ability to maintain accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Ability to seamlessly manage projects with multiple phases and associated timings.
  • Strong priority setting and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills which can be applied at all levels of the organisation.
  • Ability to work under own initiative, to work well under pressure and to tight timescales.
  • Collaborative approach with the ability to engage, influence and persuade.
