Designate General Manager | London Area | Full Time
£50,000-55,000pa base salary + up to £8,000 annual bonus + £200 per month to spend in our restaurants outside of work + private medical insurance
At Wagamama, food is life. We care about where it comes from, how it’s made and the people who make it happen. As General Manager, you’ll be the beating heart of your restaurant. Your vibe sets the tone. Your energy brings the buzz. Your leadership shapes the culture.
We’re looking for a designate general manager who’s ready to step up. Someone on the rise who leads from the front, keeps their cool and brings people together. You’ll run the restaurant like it’s your own. Driving great service, building a strong team and making sure every guest leaves feeling good.
You’ll work across a few nearby restaurants, stepping in where you’re needed most. Learning each team, finding your rhythm in different spaces and growing into full general manager leadership with a real feel for how it all comes together.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
