We are looking to hire a Designated Safeguarding Lead as maternity cover in our secondary school located in Wolverhampton.

Responsibilities

  • The successful candidate will have extensive experience of working with young people, preferably in a mainstream educational setting, and excellent knowledge of the issues that face young people today.
  • They will be determined, committed, resilient and willing to go the extra mile for our children, leaving no stone unturned in continuing to improve our capacity to safeguard.
  • They will have the communication skills to be able to speak to all stakeholders in the organisation with skill and confidence, whilst also maintaining the strong relationships that we have with external agencies and local partners who augment our safeguarding efforts in school.
  • They will be outward-facing, evidence-led, knowledgeable but also keen to learn more to refine their skills and develop further.
