π About the Role
MVG Industries UK Ltd is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Design/Draughting Engineer to join the team at its Haydock, St. Helens offices. In this role, you will produce high-quality technical drawings, models, and design documentation for a range of engineering projects, including projects subject to security restrictions. This opportunity is ideal for a CAD-proficient engineer with strong technical drawing standards, accuracy, and the ability to collaborate across project and engineering teams.

π Responsibilities
- Develop detailed technical drawings, models, and designs using CAD software, with a strong focus on SolidWorks.
- Define and interpret design concepts from specifications, sketches, and project requirements.
- Implement Bills of Materials for production issue and support accurate handover to manufacturing teams.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to deliver project outputs on time.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant engineering standards, codes, regulations, and internal quality expectations.
- Optimize and revise designs based on feedback, technical reviews, and evolving project requirements.
- Manage accurate design documentation, drawing registers, and support technical queries and problem-solving within the engineering team.
β Requirements
- UK nationality is required due to security clearance requirements on certain projects.
- Demonstrable proficiency in SolidWorks and experience producing technical drawings and models.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and technical drawing standards.
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to maintain high-quality design documentation.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Good written and verbal communication skills for technical meetings, reviews, and project coordination.
- Effective time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines across multiple project requirements.

π Nice to Have
- Experience using Tekla Structures, Autodesk Revit, and/or AutoCAD.
- Previous experience in a relevant sector such as structural steel, mechanical engineering, or construction.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes, production requirements, and materials.
- Degree, HND, or HNC in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
