About the Role

We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Designer to join a growing Footwear and Accessories team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within a fast-paced, established, and reputable fashion supplier designing socks and slippers for a variety of retailers. Working closely with the Head Designer, you will support the design and development process from concept through to customer presentation, helping to create commercially successful collections that are both trend-led and customer-focused.

This role offers hybrid working.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assisting the Head Designer in fulfilling customer briefs across socks and slippers.
  • Designing and developing new seasonal collections.
  • Conducting trend, colour, and market research to identify new opportunities.
  • Creating detailed design packs and artwork using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Supporting product development from initial concept through to customer approval.
  • Assisting with the preparation of customer presentations and meetings.
  • Working collaboratively with the wider team to ensure deadlines are achieved.
  • Designing across a variety of customers, adapting handwriting and styling to suit different retailer requirements.

  • Previous experience designing socks and/or slippers within the fashion industry.
  • A design qualification is preferred, with a portfolio of work available to present at interview.
  • Strong Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop skills are essential.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Passionate about fashion, textiles, colour, and emerging trends.
  • Creative with excellent attention to detail and a strong commercial eye.
  • Technical knowledge would be advantageous.
  • Able to manage multiple projects and work to tight deadlines.
  • A team player with a positive, proactive attitude.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
  • Full UK driving licence preferred.
