We are recruiting on behalf of a leading fashion supplier for an experienced Womenswear Soft Wovens Designer to join their growing team.
This is an exciting opportunity to work across a portfolio of leading high street retailers, including River Island, TK Maxx, George, amongst others, creating trend-led, commercial collections with a younger, feminine handwriting.
This is a customer-facing role, ideal for a commercially minded designer who thrives in a fast-paced supplier environment. We are looking for someone with excellent trend awareness, a strong understanding of the UK high street, and the ability to translate emerging trends into commercially successful products. The successful candidate will be confident presenting to buyers, reacting quickly to customer requirements and developing high-volume ranges that meet both creative and commercial objectives.
You will play a key role in creating commercially successful collections, identifying new product opportunities and driving the design process from initial concept through to final delivery.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
