Desk-Based Account Manager
Manchester (Office-Based, 5 Days Per Week)
£27,500 Basic Salary + Uncapped Commission
Are you an experienced technology sales professional looking to take the next step in your career? Do you enjoy building strong customer relationships, identifying opportunities, and driving revenue growth? If so, we'd love to hear from you.
We are looking for a Desk-Based Account Manager to join a growing technology business in Manchester. This role is focused on managing and developing existing customer accounts, identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities, and delivering excellent customer service while achieving sales targets.
Responsibilities
- Managing and growing a portfolio of existing customer accounts
- Building strong relationships with key contacts and decision-makers
- Identifying and developing upsell and cross-sell opportunities
- Generating quotes, proposals, and sales opportunities
- Following up on customer enquiries and sales leads
- Maintaining accurate records within the CRM system
- Working closely with internal teams to deliver an excellent customer experience
- Achieving individual sales and revenue targets

Essential Skills
- Previous Account Management, Internal Sales, Business Development, or Sales Executive experience
- Experience selling IT, technology, telecoms, managed services, software, hardware, or similar solutions
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills
- A commercial mindset with the ability to spot opportunities within existing accounts
- Self-motivated, organised, and target-driven
- Experience using CRM systems and sales tools
