Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Desk-Based Business Development Manager role based in Lamport. The person in this role will focus on generating new business opportunities and nurturing existing client relationships through outbound calls, emails, and online meetings.

Daily Responsibilities

  • Identifying potential customers
  • Qualifying leads
  • Presenting tailored telecom and technology solutions
  • Preparing proposals and quotations
  • Maintaining accurate records in the CRM system
  • Following up on sales opportunities
  • Working closely with internal teams to ensure a smooth onboarding process for new clients

The Desk-Based Business Development Manager is expected to meet and exceed sales targets while representing Guru Technology’s values of genuine support, clear communication, and customer-centric service.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in business development, telesales, or account management within telecoms, IT, or related B2B environments.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport, listen actively, and present solutions clearly to business customers.
  • Solid commercial awareness and negotiation skills, including the ability to identify customer needs, structure proposals, and close deals effectively.
  • Competence in using CRM systems and standard office software to manage pipelines, track activity, and report on performance.
  • Self-motivated, target-driven approach, with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple leads and tasks simultaneously.
  • Comfortable working on-site in a collaborative team environment in Lamport, with a proactive attitude toward learning products and services.
  • Prior experience selling connectivity, telecoms, or IT support solutions to SMBs is highly advantageous.
  • Relevant education or training in sales, business, or technology is beneficial but not essential when supported by proven experience.
