Desk Based Business Development Executive
Location: Tamworth
Position: Permanent, Hybrid

At Bristan Group, we're looking for a proactive Desk Based Business Development Executive to join our Specification team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in securing product specifications, supporting major construction and refurbishment projects, and working closely with National Account Managers to drive business growth.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Desk Based Business Development Executive, you'll be responsible for tracking projects through the pipeline, developing strong customer relationships, and identifying opportunities to maximise business growth.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Managing the full project tracking cycle via telephone and CRM systems.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with specifiers, contractors, and merchants.
- Securing appointments and meetings for National Account Managers with key stakeholders.
- Understanding customer requirements, product specifications, and pricing expectations.
- Identifying additional product opportunities within existing projects.
- Providing accurate project forecasts to support demand planning.
- Maintaining up-to-date project and contact information within Salesforce.
- Collaborating with internal teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Researching new business opportunities, industry trends, and target customers.
- Gathering market intelligence and sharing key insights across the business.

What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Teams.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
- A confident and professional telephone manner.
Preferred:
- Telephone sales experience.
- Experience within a specification, construction, or building products environment.
- Experience developing business opportunities through outbound calls.
- Ability to influence decision-makers and build rapport quickly.
- Strong objection-handling and negotiation skills.
- Experience managing a sales pipeline and forecasting opportunities.
