Vacancy Title: Deskside Engineer

Vacancy Location: Birkenhead - Twelve Quays

Engagement Type: Permanent, Full Time

The Role:

Here at Survitec, we are currently recruiting for a Deskside Engineer to join our IT Team based in Birkenhead.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to IT support requests from staff and customers via phone, email, or chat
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, network, and system issues
  • Install, configure, and update IT equipment and software
  • Provide training and guidance to users on how to use IT tools and applications
  • Assisting with IT projects, such as system upgrades, migrations, backups, etc.
  • Document IT procedures, policies, and best practices
  • Monitor and maintain IT inventory, security, and performance
  • Collaborate with other IT staff and external vendors as needed
  • Remain current regarding IT trends and developments

About You:

Essential Criteria:

  • Knowledge of MS Windows operating system, Microsoft Office
  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose IT issues and provide solutions
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and quality
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience of Service management tools eg ServiceNOW, SysAID etc
  • Willingness to learn new skills and technologies
  • Continual improvement mindset
