Desktop Liability Adjuster

Job Location: UK wide
Job Type: Permanent
Remuneration: Competitive salary taking into account skills, experience and qualifications

We have a fantastic opportunity for Desktop Liability Adjusters / Liability Claims Handlers, based anywhere in the UK.

We're looking for dedicated liability professionals to join our growing team. In this role, you'll manage a varied caseload of Employers' Liability (EL) and Public Liability (PL) injury claims, alongside Third Party Property Damage claims, with flexible working arrangements including hybrid options.

This is a technical, customer-focused role involving the investigation of policy coverage and legal liability, negotiation and settlement of claims on behalf of our insurer and corporate clients, and the handling of both injury and property damage claims through to conclusion, working independently and under referral where appropriate.

You will investigate allegations made against policyholders, provide detailed liability advice, gather and assess relevant evidence, identify potential fraud risks, maintain proactive communication with all parties, manage litigated files where required, and ensure accurate record keeping and correspondence throughout the claims lifecycle.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
