Graphic Design Role
We are currently recruiting for a Graphic Design role focused on the editorial design of bidding documents, design, and graphical elements of the bid. Bids must be delivered to the highest quality and in a timely manner.
About Bovis Construction
Bovis Construction has a Work Winning team responsible for the timely production of tender responses for major projects they compete for. A key function of the team is the editorial design and production of responses in Adobe InDesign to a high design standard. We are looking for an entry-level graphic designer to support our team and be responsible for the design and production of our submissions. The role combines editorial design, illustration, graphic design, and data management.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Management: Project manage the bid/proposal production process and ensure timely delivery of bid/proposal documentation.
- Editorial Design: Lead the editorial design of the bid document via the appropriate software package (INDD).
- Template Management: Design and utilize bespoke InDesign templates for each tender we submit.
- Document Formatting: Format written responses into InDesign.
- Resource Coordination: Manage graphical/creative design and technical writing resource input, both from internal and external sources, and coordinate with external resources as necessary.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure completion of any bid/proposal documentation to the highest standards.
- Brand Maintenance: Maintain company brand standards, ensuring all bids are reflective of the company values.
- Review Process: Coordinate a full review process on the documents, ensuring they are fully edited and sense checked, and that the bid aligns with the submission requirements.
- Team Support: It is also the responsibility of the designer to manage their own workload and support team members as necessary.
- Brand Guidelines: Presentation design and formatting to ensure brand guidelines are upheld.
- Corporate Marketing Support: Supporting corporate marketing with social media, internal and external communications, printed and digital collateral.
- Photography & Retouching: Light photography & retouching skills – taking corporate headshots and on-site candids.
- Visual Information: Illustrate diagrams, flowcharts, and present information in visual formats.
- Vector Illustrations: Create bespoke vector illustrations and icons.

Credentials
- BA Graphic Design (Or similar – i.e., Graphic Communications)
Essential Skills, Knowledge, Experience & Behaviours

- Fluent usage of the Adobe Suite (Primarily InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
- Time Management/Task Prioritisation
- Strong written English language skills
- Experience with printed and digital formats
