Desktop Support Analyst

Via East Midlands are currently seeking a Desktop Support Analyst to join our IT Team based out of our Trent Bridge House Office in West Bridgford.

What you'll do:

  • Provide technical support and maintenance of desktop and mobile devices and software to deliver service excellence to Via IT users.
  • Organise the configuration, delivery and installation of hardware and software to Via IT users.
  • Assist in the delivery of small and medium-sized IT projects on the company's network infrastructure and desktop estate.
  • Provide informal training and coaching to Via IT users to assist them in learning current and new systems.
  • Evaluate, test and recommend software and hardware for use in the company to increase the efficiency of systems and productivity within the business.
  • Ensure that Via IT security standards are adhered to, and any incidents are managed and contained using Via IT security practices.
  • Assist in monitoring and maintaining the Via IT security perimeter, assist in identifying and understanding new and current attack vectors.

  • A Microsoft Associate-level qualification or equivalent knowledge and experience of desktop hardware, software applications, operating systems and network connectivity gained in a multi-site environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills and an understanding of service desk operations.
  • Excellent hardware and software problem solving skills particularly in relation to desktop and laptop computers, network hardware and Office 365.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and the confidence to liaise with 3rd party suppliers.
  • A Full UK Drivers Licence and ability to travel and cover multiple sites when required for business needs.
